Advanced waveform flexibility and scalable transducer configurations
GeoPulse 2 is GeoAcoustics' next-generation sub-bottom profiler, engineered for high-resolution sediment imaging across a broad range of marine survey applications.
Building upon the proven reliability of the original GeoPulse systems, GeoPulse 2 introduces enhanced capabilities, including deeper penetration and improved data quality, making it suitable for tasks such as geological surveys, pipeline tracking, and buried object detection.
Designed for seamless integration, GeoPulse 2 is a direct replacement for legacy GeoPulse systems, utilising existing transducers, deck cables, and connectors. Its compact transceiver combines transmitter and receiver functions into a single unit, simplifying system configuration while enabling a cost-effective upgrade with minimal additional investment.
High-resolution profiling with significant penetration depth
Capable of achieving resolutions up to 6 cm, GeoPulse 2 delivers detailed sub-seafloor profiles essential for accurate interpretation. The system penetrates up to 80 metres in fine clay and 20 metres in sand, providing comprehensive data for applications ranging from environmental assessments to infrastructure planning.
Waveform selection for versatile operations
GeoPulse 2 offers a range of programmable source signatures, including continuous wave (CW), chirp, and Ricker waveforms. This flexibility allows operators to tailor the acoustic signal to specific survey requirements, optimising penetration depth and resolution across varying sediment types.
Scalable transducer configurations
GeoPulse 2 supports configurations of 4, 9, or 16 T135 transducers, accommodating different survey scales and depths. The 4-transducer setup offers flexibility with options for hull-mounted or over-the-side deployment, while 9 and 16-transducer arrays are suited for hull-mounted installations, extending operational depth capabilities.
Enhanced power output for deeper water operations
With continuously adjustable output power up to 10 kW, GeoPulse 2 extends the operational range of sub-bottom profiling into deeper waters. This increased power facilitates data acquisition in challenging offshore environments, supporting activities such as offshore wind farm development and deep-water geological studies.
User-friendly interface and seamless data integration
GeoPulse 2 features an intuitive interface for straightforward operation, reducing the learning curve for new users. The system's output is compatible with standard data formats, ensuring smooth integration with existing data processing workflows and third-party software solutions.
